Creative-Specific Support
My time spent as a professional in the world of the performing and literary arts affords me a special understanding when it comes to working with creatives, both those who create professionally, such as artists and entrepreneurs, as well as those who’d otherwise consider creative expression to be intrinsic or fundamental to their being. I’m interested in helping clients to scaffold their self esteem and self confidence when it comes to their creative work, and their sense of self while navigating industry-specific barriers or challenges. I may also provide emotional support during periods of feeling stuck, numb, or a lack of meaning, utilizing both skills-based and depth therapy frameworks.
Creative-specific Education Includes:
Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, York University (2013)
Neurodivergent-Specific Support
As a Neurodivergent therapist, I'm keenly aware of the ways the world can feel like it was designed for other people, leaving us and us alone to accommodate for or prioritize the nuanced needs of our neurotype. This can leave us vulnerable, isolated, misunderstood, exhausted, emotionally or cognitively stretched, shut down, masked, and generally (or specifically) struggling in certain areas of our lives. I’m interested in supporting folks to find, grow, sustain, and own a rhythm of moving through the world that works for them, while creating a safer container for processing experiences related to neurodivergence that may land tenderly or painfully, and that may ask for extra holding space and care.
Neurodivergent-Specific Training Includes:
Certificate in DBT Informed Therapy: Adler Graduate Professional School (2024)
OPCC Lecture Series on Autism Spectrum Disorder: Carolyn Caesar RP (2019)
OPCC Lecture Series on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: Firouzeh Sharifi RP (2019)
OPCC Lecture Series on Borderline Personality Disorder: Barbara Dewar PhD, RP (2018)
