Superwell Specialties.
Gifted-Specific Support
I offer therapy for all life circumstances, especially recognizing the unique and often complex intersection of trauma and giftedness. I focus on trauma healing and therapy that is ‘gifted informed’, meaning that I am able to identify and acknowledge the multilayered nuances giftedness adds to working through trauma, growth, development and healing.
As part of my ongoing professional development in this area of practice I participate in a Positive Disintegration Study Group, a group that I have been with for the past 2+ years.
Creative-Specific Support
I encourage acknowledgement that our true selves are already whole and creative beings, and encourage allowing space for creativity in every aspect of life. This includes creative thinking, problem solving, expression of self and ideas, as well as expressive arts and therapeutic play.
My professional development and training in this area of practice includes: Flash Technique with Zentangle for trauma processing; Therapeutic Arts and Play, Including Medical Play (as a Certified Child Life Specialist, however, play is for everyone not just kids!); Life Is Good Playmaker. Learn more about my creative process and practices at my creative-focused website, The Art of Heart and Instagram.
Neurodivergent-Specific Support
I work and live from the perspective of acceptance of the whole person, helping clients to identify all of their uniqueness as they are, and to work with them to identify and support their needs according to their individual goals.
As part of my ongoing professional development in this area of practice I participate in workshops, seminars, training certificates, and am an active part of peer communities for Gifted and 2e therapists and coaches. I have also participated in an ongoing study group of the Theory of Positive Disintegration, and completed training and continue to learn as I go.
