Options for College Success.

Quarter 2, 2023 Donation Initiative

Options for College Success is a 501(c)3 post-secondary transition program on the homelands of the Council of Three Fires (Evanston, IL). Our mission is to support neurodivergent emerging adults who are developing the skills, courage, and confidence to succeed academically, work productively, and live independently.

We are an organization run entirely by neurodivergent staff. We believe in creating a future that accepts developmental disabilities as natural neurological variations that have unique strengths and weaknesses. In other words, we believe in a neurodiverse future. Because we are grounded in a truly neurodiverse practice, we take a radical approach to disability services. We do not view “functioning” as a binary continuum so we do not use functioning labels to describe our participants in our own work. We view functioning as a broad spectrum that includes many areas of cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities. By viewing functioning in this way, we can accurately assess what skills our participants already have and can fall back on, and which areas they may want more support in. We call this a “strengths-based” approach.

Our favorite mottos is, “We’re all adults here.” We treat our participants as the primary stakeholders and equal collaborators in developing their own care plans. We support them in adjusting to the responsibilities that accompany greater autonomy over their personal, academic, and professional lives.

Superwell will donate 6% of membership fees to Options for College Success in Q2 of 2023. If this is a fund you feel aligned with supporting and it works for you this season, you can donate below and 100% of your funds will be donated to this amazing initiative!

(Options plans to use any funds donated from Superwell to support their arts programming by restocking some much needed supplies. Handmade versions of logo below were created by participants of Options. How awesome is that?)
